KSP Adopt A School Program

The Jackson County Public School District is pleased to announce that we are now involved with the Kentucky State Police Adopt-a-School Program.   KSP has designed this program to prevent and intervene in an effort to reduce threats of violence toward our schools.    When specifics of the program are implemented, there will be a noticeable increase of law enforcement presence both within school buildings and on school campuses as available KSP manpower and schedules allow.    Please be aware that the presence of a law enforcement official on school property does not necessarily mean that there is a specific threat to our schools, staff, or students.     We look forward to this partnership as our school community works together to create safer schools and to improve the student learning environment.   If you have specific questions regarding the KSP Adopt-A-School Program, please contact Stephen Gabbard at the Jackson County Central Administration Office Building.    stephen.gabbard@jackson.kyschools.us
