Superintendent Mike Smith received the announcement below relating to the NTID application:

It is my pleasure to inform you that Jackson County Schools has been approved to participate in KDE’s Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Program for the 2016-2017 school year.  We saw a dramatic increase in the number of districts applying for the program this year and the quality of plans was significantly higher.  The application review committee scored your district’s application for the Non-Traditional Instruction program as proficient or above.

Teachers will be receiving information regarding NTID during the August PLAN day and on Opening Day.  Parents will be receiving information when the district finalizes all NTID plans.
