Save the Children food distribution

The Jackson County Army JROTC supported the 3 February 2021 Save the Children food distribution to residents of Jackson County held in the parking lot of the Jackson County High School located at 560 Educational Mountain Drive, McKee, Kentucky 40447. The cadets provided assistance by unloading the food from the tractor trailer, loading food into recipient’s vehicles, assisting individuals and providing traffic control.  Throughout the day the cadets issued 1,248 boxes of food items.

The cadets enjoyed the experience and the people they met. It was a great opportunity to serve the community and serve with the Save the Children Organization.  Below is a list of individual volunteers and the number of hours they worked.   We feel have forged a new relationship with the Save the Children Organization and hope to continue it.
