JCPS Prepares for State Assessment

Jackson County students are preparing to participate in the state end-of-year testing. The Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress (K-PREP) is the annual summative assessment given in grades 3 through 8, 10 and 11 to Kentucky public school students. K-PREP is a criterion-referenced test developed specifically to measure the Kentucky Academic Standards.

Jackson County students in grades 3 through 8, 10 and 11 will be taking the state required K-PREP assessments in Reading, Math, Science, and On-Demand Writing. In addition, students in grades 5, 8, and 11 will participate in a K-Prep Social Studies Field Test.

Jackson County Public Schools will be adhering to the "KDE COVID-19 Guidance" and the most current health guidance at the time of testing.
