Working in partnership with parents to provide open communication and to ensure the safety of our students and staff, I wanted to inform you of a situation that occurred at the Jackson County High School today. A student found a threatening message on a bathroom stall and reported it to a school administrator. After an in-depth administrative investigation that included the school’s resource officer, a student confessed and the appropriate disciplinary measures were taken. At no time were students or staff at risk. As always, the welfare and safety of our students and staff is our top priority. If you have any questions or concerns, you can call Brian Harris at (606) 287-7155 or email him at email@example.com.
